Goals
Acquiring professional skills for working with spreadsheets in MS Excel. This course is suitable for users with base skills for working with spreadsheets and experience in data processing.
Curriculum
Chapter 1. Organizing and tracking data in tables
Applying and managing styles of cells and tables. Functionalities of the object Table. Using name ranges. Applying and editing rules for conditional formatting. Checking for duplicates values.
Chapter 2. Calculations with formulas and functions
Overview of different function categories. Mathematical, statistical and logical functions. Functions for text and date. VLookup and HLookup functions. D-Functions.
Chapter 3. Visual data representation with charts
Data representation and analyses with diagrams. Basic types of diagrams (Column, Line, Pie). Tracking tendencies. Using sparklines.
Chapter 4. Analyzing data with Pivot tables
Grouping, processing and summarizing data. Means of analyzing summary data. Grouping of dates by months, trimesters and years. Filtering with slicers. Creating calculated fields. Creating a pivot chart.
Chapter 5. Sharing and management of workbooks
Protecting elements of the workbook and the workbook itself. Sharing settings. Tracking, accepting and rejecting changes in a tracked workbook.
